You Are What You Accept

4694342-Jay-Z-Quote-Don-t-ever-go-with-the-flow-Be-the-flowYou teach people how you would like to be treated, by how you react to what they say or do.

Either by acceptance of what they do to you or by you reprimanding them.

To correct someone on how you would like to be treated, I believe, comes from raising your standards.

Low standards allows them to continue “taking advantage” of you, while raising them educates them on how you would like to be treated.

It takes courage to put yourself first.

It takes courage futhi to “equip” people on how you like to be treated, in order for them to bring out the best in you.

It’s a win-win.

Reminds me of how I cringe when people organize events at the last minute and expect me to participate.

9 times out of 10 I don’t. If I do, it is with a closed heart.

Give me time to think it over in my mind as a typical melancholy. Don’t pull a sanguine move on me and expect to me to be jolly about it.

But then again I’m an introvert, so being “out there” drains my energy, at times.

I’m just at a point in my life, with all that’s happening, where I cannot “go with the flow” that goes against my core values.

Living a lie is tiring.

There is power outside your comfort zone.

“The Same Wind Blows On Us All…”

I just recently started going over what it takes to be a leader.

Through the people I’ve hung out with and the books I’ve read, the YouTube videos I’ve watched, one thing is certain:

There are things you have to deny yourself in order for you to meet some of what it takes to become a leader.

One of them being having to deny yourself the “relief” of taking 100% responsibility of everything in your life.photo84

Most of us, including myself, take the back seat and let life have its way with us.

Always reacting to it. Instead of responding to it.

We’ve become too lazy to think for ourselves. Allowing others to think for us.

And then wonder why we are in the current situation we are in. Or worse yet, blaming others as the reason why we are where we are, right now.

Only to call those that are making it out there as the lucky ones.

That one concept alone – taking 100% ownership of every single thing in your life – (meaning the good and the bad) will begin to move you towards the things you really want in your life.

It might not happen overnight, but this new direction you will be taking will eventually lead you to your goal.

“Here’s a philosophy that helped change my life. It’s not what happens that determines your life’s future. It’s what you do about what happens.

All of us are in like a little sailboat, and it’s not the blowing of the wind that determines your destination. It’s the set of the sail. So jot this phrase down. It’s one of the best to understand.

The same wind blows on us all. The wind of disaster, the wind of opportunity, the wind of change, the wind when it’s upside down, the wind when it’s favorable and unfavorable.

The same wind blows on us all. The economic wind, the social wind, the political wind. The same wind blows on everybody.  The difference in where you arrive in one year, three years, five years, the difference in arrival is not the blowing of the wind but the set of the sail.”

You do have a goal right?

One of the things that lead to depression is not having a goal to wake up to.

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said it is his book The Power of Positive Thinking:

Feeling listlesswrite a list.”

A Business Like No Other…

new-mlm-companiesI think network marketing levels the playing field.

I could be wrong, it’s just my observation.

From my limited observation, businesses are handed over from generation to generation.

The only legacy I’ve seen being left the masses is poverty.

Some families are brought up with the option of aspiring to be business owner, while other families are sold the idea of becoming employees or self employed.

Asking the government to fix this in the form of land distribution, for instance, is as effective as the removal of our now current President from office.

But network marketing nullifies this dependent mindset.

The right one also offers you training and mentorship on how to succeed by also developing a business owner mindset.

But the best ones allow for your network marketing business to be passed on from generation to generation, just like these families I spoke of earlier.

With the right training to develop your skills, I believe anyone can succeed in what they put their minds to.

Multi level marketing included.

One of the hiccups I have with conventional business is the start up capital, amongst other uncertainties.

But obviously if you are committed enough and want it badly enough then you can find solutions around that.

I guess one chooses ones battles.

With me preferring minimum start up capital.

Minimal operational costs.

No overhead.picture2

With some part time but consistent work ethic, the results are predictable.

Results that can supplement my current salary.

Results that can be on par with my current salary.

Results that can eclipse my current salary.

A business like no other.

Look as a disclaimer, anything legit that allows you to make extra income is great.

Be it MLMs or another job or part time gig or strip joints.

I’m just talking about what I’m exposed to.

Do you due dilengece.

This working you way up to your salary month end only to start at zero the following month, is insane.

But most of us are doing it so it’s ok right?

I don’t think so.

My Blog Island Theory

slider_1

It feels like each blog is an island.

Whenever you open one to read, then you come up with a dead end once you’re done reading.

Wanted to figure out a way of linking each post to another.

Makes for an exciting way to spice up this blog site.

But I just need to find a way of not abusing the links I would be sprinkling on each update.

Nothing less exciting that opening up a blog to find it taken over by endless links.

Reminds for twitter updates spammed by numerous hash tags.

And now that they have extended their characters per tweet, I end up not following those that do abuse the use of the hashtag.

Oops, that link was supposed to have taken you to one my updates.

Supposed experts talk about having readers losing themselves in the abyss of your blogs, having links that link back to one another.

To only link you to another, then another.

Trapped in the coberwebs of Musa’s blog.

Buhahaha!!

I forgot to what aim though.

Probably a monetary one.

So I guess I can start with referring to one of my latest ones.

Which talks about how to buy yourself to Heaven.

Buying Your Way to Heaven…

51NXzS5PJxL…Is the most selfish thing you can do.

I’m getting ahead of myself.

I love Neale D. Walsch’s take on heaven.

How it’s not a place good people go to when they die but a place good people go to when they are still alive.

Good people are good because of their actions.

The good they do boomerangs back to them in the form of good things happening to them.

Those happenings are what refers to as heaven.

So heaven from what he wrote in his book is more of an experience more than it is a destination.

I love that.

Heaven on earth.

Through your thoughts and your words and your actions, you create your own hell or heaven on earth.

So buying yourself to heaven by doing good pays off.

Because what comes around, goes around.

Being At Fault

argument[1]Need to use a more creative headline.

So I tried this as action suggestions on this “How To Win Friends” book by Dale Carnegie.

About how you know that you are not the one to blame, but you act like you are?

I forgot for what purpose though: conflict avoidance, relationship building.

Either one it’s a win for me.

Usually I come out guns blazing.

I don’t play games.

Listening to some audios or reading helps though, something I haven’t been doing lately.

Long story short, my woman locked me in at our place when she left for work and took my key with as well.

This obviously affected me when it was my turn to go to work for my shift.

I’m so cute…”affected me.”

It pissed me off, that’s how much it affected.

She knows I don’t like it when she locks me in on her way out.

To top it off, she done took my keys with.

So after calm downing, changing my state, I brought this to her attention (via text) and began apologizing.

Firstly, for making it known that I “forgot” to mention how I preferred not being locked in.

Secondly on how I was silly enough to leave the my keys in her car.

And if she can be kind enough to verify if indeed she has them with her.

So tactful I was.

She obviously replied in kind, mentioning how taking my key was not intentional.

Come to think about it, it was an honest mistake.

Just thinking now how I would have made it a huge issue when it wasn’t.

It really wasn’t because we have a sliding door that can be used an an alternative exit.

Thank God.

Heck she was even sweet enough to give me a lift back home when I knocked off.

Positive outcome all the way.

I can only imagine how things would have been if I had let my ego take control.

Sometimes it’s good to take a step back and ask, “What will Love do now?”

I love you.

Thank you.

I’m sorry.

Please forgive me.

Gangster Letters

LetterHow can I use what I just read to improve my job?

How can I use what I have read to improve on my family life?

How can I use what I’ve read to improve on my income?

How can I use what I’ve gained to improve on my health?

~ Musa

Don’t just read for the sake of it my guy, read to improve on these areas in your life.

That’s what you did with Dr. S. Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

How you tracked your day, hourly even, with what needed to be done per hour… you remember that?

You were Mr Super Effective!

Get that going with what you’re reading now, so to get the ball rolling.

You see were your wife’s thinking is headed? Because she anticipates the future and prepares for it.

Something you were doing before you stopped. Think it’s because you got what you wanted.

Success stopped you.

Re-visit this strategy. It worked for you and a lot of things improved.

Like right now.

Things need to improve buddy.
