Wake up with gratitude.
It’s amazing how we take things for granted.
I saw this when I moved in to my new place.
It was a steady move in, never tried those. But it was nice.
The thing is, there were some items that didn’t make it on the first move.
So I had to be creative with what I use to hand wash the dishes with.
I had to make a plan with the kind of soap I bathed in.
There’s this amazing soap I prefer over any, but had to use that green bar soap.
With no kettle, it was cold baths for me and no tea.
I love my tea, I have my own particular tea that I love also.
But now I didn’t have those things.
My favorite liquid dish soap wasn’t with me, come to think of it, what a dreadful situation I was in.
But like all things, that too did pass when I got all my goods back.
Back to the ungrateful son of gun I was before the move.
That mindset of not giving a damn, going through the emotions builds until you become this zombie.
With an unproductive routine, spiritually dead you are which can contribute to frustration and sometimes mild depression.
But it hit me now that starting the morning being grateful, for the small stuff, improves your mood which improves your perspective.
I think life is better when you see life differently.
It’s not the big house or new car or new job or new partner or new dog or new children.
No that’s all the outside stuff.
Improving your life is an inside job.
Get that shit right first then all else will fall into place.
And that’s when the real work begins.
