Can You Stand The Rain?

I remember writing a post about avoiding pushing away your down days.

We can’t be working at peak levels all the time.

24/7.

365.

But moods can be managed.

And do agree with Tony Robbins on listing out things that trigger your feel good mood.

Especially what you do with your body when you are happy.

Music does it for me.

Listening to Pro, who once known as ProKid, does it for me.

But Rihanna‘s song a doing for me as well lately.

It’s kinda hard checking out her music videos though.

With so much ass and boobs you could swear you’re watching porn.

Maybe America is de-sensitized by nudity.

Hey, sex sales I guess…I was under the impression that it’s her talent, skill, hard work that’s making her stay on top of her game.

Maybe it’s because I don’t watch porn anymore after watching this Porn Experiment.

I digress.

So physically, to trigger my feel good vibes:

  • I have my shoulders back,
  • eyes are wider,
  • I move my hands a lot,
  • I smile,
  • I speak louder and faster,
  • I lean forward when I talk,
  • I make more eye contact,
  • my face is more animated,
  • take deeper breathes and expand my fingers.

But that’s me, I don’t know about you.

My challenge to you is to find a way to decode your body into tricking your brain into feeling good.

So when you feeling offish, there’s a chance you are shooting off your “offish triggers.”

Namely:

  • slouching shoulders,
  • short quick breaths,
  • sleepy eyes,
  • frowning,
  • closed off body language,
  • crossed eye brows,
  • feet dragging.

There a lot of things eternally that we can’t change, focused on what you can.

I found life is easier that way.

I love you.

I’m sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

“The Book You Never Read Won’t Change You”

Was just thinking about affirmations.

About how everyone uses them.

Some use them knowingly and a lot of us do not.

But how the most effective people use affirmations intentionally.

Deliberately leading them to situations they would rather be in.

To paraphrase, affirmations are statements you repeatedly say to yourself.

Which then influence your actions.

Which then generates the results you have in your life.

Some use this affirmation process to guide the direction of their lives to producing the results they want.

Some don’t.

This is not based on my endless research on the subject though.

I don’t have a PhD in Affirmations.

Nah, this is based on my personal experience.

At a time when I was at my most effective.

I use the word “effective” because I created momentum for myself, by taking action regularly with the assistance of this affirmation process, thanks to the good Dr Stephen Covey’s book “The Seven Steps of Highly Effective People.”

In fact I got jealous when I was having a meeting with a potential business partner and she mentioned that she’s going through it and was in love with the principles Covey was teaching.

Teachings at the time I place at the back of my mind.

It took me back to a time when I had a love affair with reading, on any subject, the weirder the better, which led me to this Seven Habits book.

A book that introduced me to the world of personal development.

Never be just a “passing” reader.

Take action on at least one of the suggested mentioned in that instructive you are reading.

Grow with every book or article you read.

The book you never read won’t change you.

A changed you is needed if you want to see changed results.

I love you.

Thank you.

You Have To Be Intentional

I am busy reading this book and there was a sentence that impacted me.

About how every process leads to a result.

How your current inactivity will lead to a certain result at the end of the month.

How your current activity will lead to certain results at the end of the month.

So in other words starting at the end and working your way back, to where you are now, is a good way to plan and achieve your goals.

That way you can begin now in doing the things and following the processes that will get you to where you want to be.

We all follow processes or habits that produce the results we get in our lives.

If you want to smell clean and fresh, you follow certain habits that produce that result…that being bathing, body spray and brushing your teeth.

If you don’t want to keep your job, then you can try out these habits, namely: show up late, you not meeting company’s target, behaving rudely to colleagues and clients.

And that’s a set of habits that will successfully get you fired.

So you could say everyone is successful, because even failing can be seen as something you can be successful in.

This due to the kind of habits you are successfully practicing.

If you want the results that your current habits of failure brings, keep applying those habits.

But if you want different results, then you should follow the process that will help you achieve them.

Success and failure are two sides of the same coin.

Sometimes we leave our success to the flip of a coin.

And call it luck.

Those who are wise enough to ask from those who have walked the path, so to make things easier for you.

By adopting their habits of success.

You follow the process and you will achieve the result that comes from your work.

In short, you are in control of the results you are getting in your life.

It’s a matter of being intentional about it.

I love you.

Thank you.
